Gastric Sleeve Surgery
The gastric sleeve does NOT affect the absorption of food, but it is a restrictive procedure.
It’s a relatively safe surgery in which 80% of your stomach is removed, on average it removes two-thirds of it, depending on the size of each patient’s stomach

Gastric Bypass Surgery
Bypass surgery consists of reducing the size of your stomach (remaining approximately your stomach the size of a golf ball) creating a bridge between the stomach and the small intestine, shortening the length of the intestine that is in contact with food which reduces the amount of food absorbed.
This surgery is considered a mixed procedure because has two effects: restrict or limit the amount of food and also reducing its absorption (malabsorption).
